Description
x10 ACRYL is a ready-to-use decorative acrylic façade render designed as a finishing layer for exterior and selected interior wall surfaces. It is intended to provide a textured decorative appearance together with the practical benefits associated with acrylic-binder renders, including good adhesion, water repellence and resistance to normal UV and weather exposure.
The render can be used on properly prepared mineral plasters, reinforced base coats of compatible external thermal insulation systems, concrete, levelling compounds, fibre-cement boards, plasterboard and other stable construction substrates approved by Reder. It can also be used in renovation projects when the existing substrate is sound and compatible. The surface must be dry, firm, level and clean. Loose material, dust, grease, biological contamination and poorly adhered old coatings must be removed. Uneven or damaged areas should be repaired before the decorative finish is applied.
For best results, the substrate should be treated with the appropriate Reder façade primer, preferably in a colour coordinated with the final render. The primer helps regulate absorption, improves adhesion and reduces the risk of the substrate showing through the textured finish. Before use, x10 ACRYL should be mixed slowly and thoroughly to obtain a uniform consistency. Excessive dilution should be avoided because it can alter application behaviour, coverage and the final texture.
Application is generally performed with a stainless-steel trowel at approximately the thickness of the largest aggregate grain. The surface is then structured with a suitable plastic trowel using the movement required for the selected texture. Large uninterrupted areas should be completed continuously using a wet-on-wet technique to minimise visible joints. Work should be planned with enough applicators to maintain a consistent edge.
x10 ACRYL is intended for durable decorative façade finishing and is supplied in 25 kg packaging. It should not be applied to permanently wet surfaces or horizontal surfaces where water can remain. Application during rain, fog, strong wind, frost risk or intense direct sunlight should be avoided. Exact granulation options, consumption per square metre, drying time, tinting system, water-absorption and vapour-permeability classifications must be confirmed in the latest Reder technical data sheet before use.
