Weisscryl Top

Description

WeissCryl Top is an acrylic dispersion façade paint intended for the decorative protection of exterior wall surfaces.  This type of coating is designed to combine good adhesion, weather resistance and a durable decorative appearance, making it suitable for new façades as well as the renovation of compatible existing coatings.

The product is intended for smooth or evenly textured façade substrates such as traditional lime-cement plasters, cement-based surfaces, concrete, fibre-cement boards, façade masonry and other properly prepared mineral construction surfaces. It may also be suitable for renovation over sound, well-adhered existing acrylic, silicate or silicone coatings and compatible decorative renders, subject to an adhesion test and the recommendations in the Reder technical documentation. The substrate must be dry, firm, clean and free from dust, grease, salts, loose material and unstable old coatings. Highly absorbent or chalking mineral surfaces should be treated with the appropriate Reder primer before painting.

WeissCryl Top should be thoroughly mixed before use. Application is normally carried out by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment. For reliable colour uniformity and protection, two coats are generally recommended. If dilution is required, clean water should be used only within the limits stated by Reder. Application should be avoided in unsuitable weather, including rain, fog, strong wind, direct intense sunlight or temperatures outside the range specified in the technical data sheet.

The acrylic façade-paint category is valued for strong adhesion and resistance to normal atmospheric exposure, alkalis, salts and light. At the same time, a correctly formulated façade coating should permit water vapour transmission so that moisture within the wall assembly is not unnecessarily trapped. Proper detailing of roofs, gutters, flashings and plinths remains essential because a decorative façade coating cannot compensate for structural water ingress.

WeissCryl Top is supplied in 3 L, 10 L and 15 L packs, suitable for both renovation work and larger façade projects.
