Description
ReinWeiss Top is a water-based acrylic dispersion paint for the protection and decoration of façade surfaces. It is intended as a practical exterior coating for mineral façades and renovation projects. Its application profile focuses on reliable adhesion, decorative coverage and resistance to normal weather exposure while maintaining the vapour permeability expected from a façade dispersion coating.
Suitable substrates include classic lime-cement and cement plasters, concrete, façade brick, fibre-cement boards and other stable mineral surfaces. ReinWeiss Top may also be considered for repainting old, firmly bonded acrylic, silicate or silicone coatings and compatible decorative renders after the existing surface has been assessed for adhesion and compatibility. Before painting, the substrate must be dry, sound and clean. Remove dust, dirt, grease, efflorescence, loose particles and any old coating that is no longer firmly attached. Porous, chalking or unevenly absorbent surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Reder impregnation or façade primer.
Mix ReinWeiss Top thoroughly before application. It can generally be applied by brush, roller or suitable spraying equipment. Two coats are recommended for a uniform decorative and protective result. Where the technical specification permits dilution, use clean water and remain within the manufacturer’s stated limits. Allow the first coat to dry adequately before applying the next coat. Tools should be washed with water immediately after work is completed.
Acrylic façade coatings are particularly useful where straightforward application and dependable adhesion are required. ReinWeiss Top is intended to create a consistent façade appearance while helping the surface withstand routine environmental exposure. Nevertheless, façade durability depends on the complete building envelope: active leaks, rising damp, defective joints and persistent moisture must be corrected before painting. Application should also be scheduled under stable weather conditions and protected from rain and extreme heat during early drying.
ReinWeiss Top is available in 3 L, 10 L and 15 L packaging. Exact spreading rate, dilution, drying time, tinting options, application-temperature limits and performance classifications should be taken from the current Reder technical data sheet. A small test area is recommended when working over an unknown existing coating or a substrate with variable absorption.
