Interior dispersion paint for moisture-prone rooms

SKU: SCHILDWEISS-TOP Category: Brand:

Description

Schildweiss Top is a water-based interior dispersion paint developed for walls and ceilings in spaces where increased humidity and condensation can create conditions favourable to surface mould. The product is intended to combine decorative finishing with additional protection of the painted surface, making it particularly relevant for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and other interior rooms where humidity is periodically elevated.

The paint can be applied to suitably prepared lime-cement and cement plasters, concrete, levelling compounds, plasterboard and other compatible interior construction surfaces, as well as firmly bonded old coatings that are suitable for renovation. The substrate must be dry, solid and clean. Dust, grease, loose particles and unstable old paint should be removed before application. Where the surface is porous or unevenly absorbent, a suitable Reder primer should be used to stabilise the substrate and improve the uniformity of the finishing coats.

Schildweiss Top is a preventive finishing product and should not be treated as a substitute for correcting the cause of persistent moisture. If a wall already shows mould, algae or biological contamination, the affected surface should first be professionally cleaned and treated with an appropriate remedial product. Sources of water penetration, thermal bridging, insufficient ventilation or chronic condensation should also be addressed before repainting. Applying a protective paint over an untreated contaminated surface will not provide a durable solution.

Before use, mix the paint thoroughly. Application can generally be carried out by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment, normally in two coats for a uniform finish. Clean water should be used if dilution is permitted by the current technical instructions. Allow each coat to dry adequately before recoating and wash tools with water after use.

Schildweiss Top is suitable for residential and commercial interiors where additional surface protection is desirable while maintaining a clean decorative appearance. It is supplied in 3 L, 10 L and 15 L packs. Exact preventive performance, consumption, dilution, drying time, application temperature, colour range and maintenance requirements should be verified in the latest Reder technical data sheet. For long-term results in humid rooms, good ventilation and correct building-physics conditions remain essential alongside the coating system.
